Love the Gateway Center. It's a little out of the way without a car but is still T accessible (about 10 minutes from Wellington Station on foot). There are a variety of stores and a couple restaurants, including pretty much the only Texas Road House near Boston.
It's beautiful to walk all year through, best place to buy. Everything is in there. Best restaurants too.
If your in the area this is the place to take your kids to Chuck E. Cheeses! There are also other stores to approach like a beauty store, fashion store, art store, baby store. Costco, wine place, old navy and a restaurant called Texas Road House. CAUTION! If anyone in your party is allergic to peanuts/tree nuts, then do not enter Texas Road House! They cook everything with peanuts and peanut oil!!
Lots of giant box stores thrown onto a brownfield with no planning for transit, pedestrian movement through the area from the nearby T station, or any greenspace to lessen the impact of this asphalt nightmare. Traffic patterns arranged by lower primates with sticks would make more sense.
